Job Title

Senior Accountant with German - Warsaw - (m/f/d)

Overview

As a Senior Accountant (m/f/d), you will play a key role in the preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and HGB regulations in close collaboration with various teams. You will be involved in the preparation of our companies' annual financial statements and support both external and internal audit processes. Your expertise and active collaboration are crucial to successfully carrying out these processes and ensuring the financial integrity of our companies.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of the reporting system, especially to the Bundesbank and Bafin
  • Responsible for monthly provisions according to HGB/UGB and US-GAAP
  • Participation in the preparation of the annual financial statements of the German and Austrian companies
  • Preparation and maintenance of consolidated monthly reporting in accordance with local law and US GAAP
  • Contact person for auditors and external auditors
  • Review and approve account reconciliations and accruals
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages for submission to the US Corporate Reporting Team
  • Documentation of accounting processes
  • Support and backup for the Director Accounting
  • Review and apply all Company accounting policies under local law and US GAAP
  • Close cooperation with the shared service center teams in Poland and India
  • Identifying and solving problems and uncovering potential for process improvement.

What you should bring with you

  • University degree in economics or commercial vocational training with additional qualifications in accounting/finance
  • Strong experience in comparable functions
  • Ability to independently prepare commercial law statements
  • Very good knowledge of German, English and Polish
  • Profound knowledge and experience with HGB (ideally also in US GAAP)
  • Good knowledge of Oracle / SAP (ideally SAP S 4 HANA) is an advantage.
