Product Lead – Core Banking & Origination

What does aProduct Lead do?

Lead strategic initiatives for revenue target planning, product sales, sales solutions, product management, license record keeping, third-party vendor management, product operations, client satisfaction, and competition analysis. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product success in the APAC region, ensuring effective client engagement, pricing strategies, and competitive positioning while maintaining compliance and optimizing third-party relationships.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with Finance to strategize and execute revenue forecasts for the assigned product in the APAC region, actively monitoring and addressing discrepancies between actual and projected revenues.
  • Collaborate with sales and account management teams in each region to drive new sales opportunities, recommend pricing for product license and annual maintenance based on market benchmarks, and ensure project plans align with client requirements and costs. Qualify opportunities by identifying client budgets, assessing competition, developing prospect engagement plans, and addressing solution gaps.
  • Lead the presentation and demonstration of the assigned product, focusing on high-level solution capabilities and unique selling points, coordinating with delivery/tech teams and, when necessary, with the US product team for detailed technical presentations based on agreed scopes; collaborate with APAC Sales, Technology, Legal, Finance, Marketing teams, and global product teams to respond to RFP/RFI and recommend products/modules for proposals.
  • Collaborate with the global product team to shape the product direction and roadmap, stay informed about local market requirements for assigned products, and serve as the focal point for introducing new versions, products, or modules to the APAC region.
  • Maintain comprehensive client records, including details of licensed products/modules, limits (e.g., account volume, user limits), and license expiry dates; collaborate with account owners and the delivery team to conduct regular license audits, ensuring compliance with license limits; coordinate with legal, account, and compliance teams to address license exceedances, recommending pricing for license uplift when necessary.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for 3rd party solutions integrated into Fiserv offerings, overseeing monitoring of usage, managing payments for licenses and maintenance fees, collaborating with the accounting department to track usage, ensuring inclusion of royalties in new opportunities, and negotiating with 3rd party vendors to optimize costs, particularly in non-standard pricing situations.
  • Ensure the implementation of client feedback and meet expectations to enhance the overall client experience with Fiserv products, while also compiling and monitoring metrics to track product performance.
  • Stay current on competitor products, analyzing their strengths/weaknesses, pricing strategies, delivery approaches, and target clienteles. Provide guidance to sales teams on Fiserv product strengths/weaknesses relative to competitors in specific opportunities, and develop strategies to overcome any identified weaknesses.

What You Will Need To Have

  • Minimally 10 – 15 years of experience as Product and/or Client Solutions Lead in Financial Services.
  • In-depth knowledge of core banking systems specifically with functional expertise aligned to market offerings.
  • Strong analytical skills to review and analyse data/information, process re-engineer and propose solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written with effective presentation skills.
  • Experience in business solutions, sales support or product management key.
