Pre Sales Consultant

Location: Singapore (Marina Bay Financial Centre)

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Pre-Sales Consultant to work on Payment Services Hub sales. You will work in a team with sales executives to understand the clients’ requirements, prepare and give extensive product demonstrations and workshops.

You will be responsible for providing customers and sales executives with business and technical product advice, preparing RFI/ RFP response and proposals, effectively delivering software demonstrations to potential and existing clients, and being involved in closing business in conjunction with the sales team.


Work in conjunction with sales execs to close business opportunities Build and present customized demonstrations of the Dovetail Payment Services Hub solution In conjunction with the sales exec, develop an in-depth understanding of the customers’ business, structure, practices, challenges and requirements within the context of the customers’ business sector Participate in the development & completion of submitted RFI/RFP documents, bid coordination, prospect qualification, discovery and requirements gathering, product demonstrations, technical discussions, and design solution proposals. Represent Fiserv at Trade Show events and conferences to increase brand and solution visibility (company booth, panel discussions, industry speaker, etc.). Develop credibility and confidence with prospects through the sales lifecycle through the demonstration of expertise and strong engagement skills. Work with the sales execs to develop and maintain a long-term strategic Account Development Plan Coordinate with Product Management and Development to ensure that the necessary environments and the most current demonstrable product release is available for use. Develop demonstration strategies to promote strategic features and capitalize on customer and market driven value propositions Responsible for understanding business and technical problems addressed by the products including key regulations, business drivers, evolving business needs, etc. Responsible for staying abreast of product roadmap and maintaining ability to effectively communicate roadmap to prospects and clients in support of business opportunities. Responsible for staying current on competitive analyses and understanding differentiators between the company and its competitors. Responsible for providing feedback from the market to Product Management and Development regarding products including identification of gaps between product functionality and market/customer demands.

Job Related Experience:

Minimum 10 years Pre Sales experience in enterprise level, application software with proven experience in solution selling with specific domain expertise in any one of the following areas: high value /RTGS, low value/ACH payments, international payments, liquidity management, SWIFT, corporate cash management, payables, receivables or securities and investments Prior experience developing proposals, demos and presentations for customers Able to present technical concepts in clear manner to customers through demos and proposals Ability to present solution to business and technology executives Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills using the MS Office suite (emails, documents, presentations), with rigorous attention to detail Strong presentation skills and public speaking Excellent problem solving skills; ability to push creative thinking beyond the boundaries of existing industry practices and client mindsets Experience in Wholesale Payment Systems and how banks use Wholesale Payment Systems Experience with Web Server and Java EE technologies at an overview level Understanding of software development lifecycle and technology Toolset/Technology Skills


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technology field, or equivalent experience

Ability to confirm solution fit and identify customer specific benefits that will help contribute to a unique business value offering Ability to understand and articulate customer business requirements and develop the corresponding proposal design Adaptable and flexible in approach to winning long-term business relationships An understanding of common databases (Oracle, SQL, Sybase, DB2), networking, and operating systems An understanding of business intelligence and associated reporting tools (Crystal, Cognos, Actuate, Business Objects) Ability to communicate technical and business information to widely varied audiences Strong organizational skills Strong communications skills (written and oral) Strong presentation skills Ability to operate and work as part of a team Advanced knowledge of solution sales methodology and Fiserv customer buying process Ability to effectively react in dynamic, customer facing situations Knowledge of the workings of a broad range of financial institutions, financial processes and financial instruments Knowledge of the sales engineering function and sales engineering processes within a software organization Strong analytical skills, both financial and non-financial High degree of professionalism in appearance and manner Broad business acumen and understanding of financial services processes Strong technical skills Strong skill level with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.) Strong relationship building skills both internally and externally Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail Responsive, reliable and results oriented Ability to travel domestically and internationally, including nights or weekends as required.
