Responsibilities
Leading global financial services company seeking a Director of Risk Strategy and Analytics to establish a risk management team to support a new credit card program for businesses. The Director will lead and manage strategy for credit risk policy, own credit risk platforms and manage credit risk operations.
Responsibility would include:
Mitigate losses due to a borrower’s failure to make payment.
Identify and evaluate threats, developing alternative courses of actions to avoid or reduce risks.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to reduce credit risk.
Manage unsecured lending portfolio and continually optimize risk strategy for acquisition, fraud and collection.
Manage a group of underwriters or a third party to work within policy to make credit decisions on consumer and business credit card applications
Requirements -
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operational Research, Engineering, other quantitative major or equivalent experience; Master’s Degree a plus
7+ Years experience in similar analytical role
Experience in financial industry, credit risk, card or unsecured lending required; near-prime and sub prime fintech experience is a plus
Experience in Commercial underwriting is a plus
Good organizational, communication, critical thinking and interpersonal skills
Highly independent and self-motivated to form opinions that are supported by data
Detail-oriented, team player with good planning and problem-solving skills
Proficient in MS suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Strong knowledge of modeling tools and techniques and use in strategy
Ability to understanding competitive pressure and economic trends and their business impacts
High Energy with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Experience with the Credit Card Regulatory Requirements a plus
