The role focuses on interpreting network mandates, coordinating implementations, and minimizing operational and regulatory risk.

What you’ll do:

  • Monitor, interpret, and operationalize rule changes and guidance from Visa, Mastercard, Interac, UnionPay International, American Express, and Discover.
  • Assess business impact of card network updates and coordinate timely implementation across product, operations, and technology teams.
  • Manage payment card network relationships, oversee contract terms, and coordinate network escalation processes to resolve compliance and operational issues.
  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on payment card network requirements, specifically within Canada, and act as primary liaison for network inquiries.
  • Identify, assess, and escalate compliance risks tied to payment card activities and transactions.
  • Coordinate remediation plans, track corrective actions, and validate closure of compliance gaps.
  • Prepare and lead responses to network investigations, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

Experience you’ll need to have:

  • 3+ years of experience in interpreting and operationalizing payment card network rules for Visa, Mastercard, Interac, UnionPay International, American Express, and Discover.
  • 4+ years of experience managing payment card network relationships, contract terms, and network escalation processes.
  • 3+ years of experience with network investigations, and remediation processes.
  • 3+ years of experience with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platforms such as RSA Archer or ServiceNow GRC.
  • 3+ years of experience preparing audit responses, regulatory reports, and maintaining compliance documentation for external reviews.
  • 4+ years of equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience working with payment card networks, payment card processors, and/or acquiring/issuer integrations.
  • Experience with tokenization platforms and Visa Token Service, Mastercard Digital Enablement Service, or similar.
  • Knowledge of 3-D Secure (3DS) and fraud mitigation network requirements.
  • Project coordination experience for multi-stakeholder compliance rollouts.

How you’ll work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires the use of a computer and audio equipment.

Travel:

  • Approximately 5-10% travel off-site or to other office locations is expected.

Sponsorship:

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada to be considered for this position. The company is not offering visa or work permit support. Only candidates who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents or who hold a valid open work permit will be considered for this role.

Benefits at Fiserv:

  • Fuel Your Life wellness program with activities and rewards to support total well-being
  • Paid statutory holidays, Recharge & Refuel vacation (years-of-service tiers), and a Paid Sick Time program
  • No-cost, confidential support through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and household members
