Principal IAM Access Engineer (Ping ID)

What does a successful Principal IAM Access Engineerdo at Fiserv?

We are searching for an enthusiastic IAM Access engineer to create innovative engineering solutions in the Access space. You will be involved in all stages of development, from solution design to development and deployment, testing, and maintenance. To deploy the solution, you will be required to collaborate with Solution architects, network, application teams, to name a few. Guide and mentor junior engineers. This is a Principal level position and the candidate will need to be an expert in the Access space.

What you will do:

  • Work with deployment, configuring and tuning the Access Engineering stack both on-premise and in the cloud.
  • Create prototypes to validate proposed ideas and solicit input from stakeholders
  • Convert high-level design to low-level design and implements it
  • Collaborate with Team Leads to define/clarify business requirements, estimate development costs, and finalize work plans.
  • Run unit and integration tests on all created code – Create and run unit and integration tests throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Benchmark product performance proactively to prevent performance and scalability concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Team on issue reporting, resolution, and change management.
  • L4 Support and Troubleshooting – Assist the Operations Team with any environmental issues that arise during application deployment in the Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments.
  • Assist other teams in resolving issues that may develop because of applications or the integration of multiple components.

What you will need to have:

  • 5 + yeas of IAM experience
  • Understanding of IAM design concepts and architecture
  • Experience automating and deploying our products as ‘Infrastructure as Code’
  • The ability to create test cases and scenarios based on specifications.
  • Expert in IAM products such as PingIdentity suite (must have), any one of Siteminder, Okta, ForgeRock etc.
  • 5 + years of experience with Azure AD/ Entra ID or Azure B2C.
  • 5 + years of experience in configuring, tuning, troubleshooting PingFederate, PingAccess.
  • 5+ years of experience with Admin API against PingFederate, PingAccess and PingOne.
  • 5 + years of experien configuring application policies in PingFederate and PingAccess.
  • Expert in PingOne technologies – PingOne MFA, PingOne Protect.
  • Good knowledge of LDAP technologies/ ACTIVE Directory.
  • Knowledgeable in Cloud technologies like Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP
  • Hands on scripting knowledge – preferable Linux shell based.
  • Must have experience using Postman for API testing and automation.
  • Expert in Industry standard protocols like OAuth2.0, OIDC, SAML.
  • Experience working with modern access technologies like Passwordless/Passkeys.
  • Experience building Risk based policies.
  • Understanding User registration and authentication flows.

What would be good to have:

  • Experience with secure code analysis by using tools such as Fortify.
  • Development experience preferred.
  • Understanding Rest API
