As a product marketer, a lot of my responsibility is around the go-to-market activities of a new or existing product. Our goal is to increase awareness of the product; make sure that we’re educating our clients about the value, why they should get it, how is it going to help their end-users. We attend tradeshows, produce collateral, brochures, PowerPoints and anything we need to enable our sales team to talk to clients about our products. As a Communications Specialist, you can look forward to the following areas of focus:


  • You will have a chance to use your journalistic mindset – this means being inquisitive, probing, asking questions and establishing relationships with the Product and Client Services teams.
  • Author, proofread and/or edit external client communications on a variety of topics from product upgrades to problem resolution. Communications will vary in length and complexity but are expected to be clear, concise and professional looking in every instance.
  • Meet tight deadlines and display an aptitude for learning complex operations and products quickly with attention to detail
  • Take ownership of content deliverables, coordinating with team members independently and efficiently
  • Product innovation and continuous improvement are critical elements of our success in Electronic Payments – you will gain the perspective (deep understanding of our products and client perspective) to write thoughtful updates that address client questions and potential concerns


  • Building bridges and developing relationships with internal business partners.
  • Advising business partners on communication topics
  • Own review cycles and sign-off’s for external communications going to clients.
  • Teamwork -- work with our internal business partners to develop relationships, share and explain processes, work on continuous improvement, and solve problems for clients and account management teams
  • Work with people across many levels of the organization


  • Responsible for identifying and delivering process improvements for the delivery of expert client communications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate the work required at each step of the process.
  • Innovate how we develop content. Ability to clearly and concisely SWOT issues and decision points.
  • Utilize technology to streamline processes, save time and engage.
  • Attend problem review meetings to help interpret technical builds and maintain strong client relationships. Participates in client meetings regarding performance to ensure client satisfaction
  • Ensure that appropriate information is communicated through the communication channels available to the client communications team
  • Share and explain processes, work on continuous improvement, and solve problems for clients and account management teams

Basic qualifications for consideration:

  • Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or similar experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with planning/scheduling communications (writing and communication plan samples required)
  • Familiarity, or ability to learn Microsoft 360 solutions including, SharePoint and Teams.
  • Well organized.
  • Collaborative mindset.
  • Looking to learn and grow.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%

Preferred qualifications for consideration:

  • Financial services experience
  • On-call experience
