What does a great Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst do?
The Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst position is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) role within Fiserv’s Cyber Threat Intelligence team. The role involves research and analysis of large amounts of structured and unstructured data from vendors, open source, and internal sources to include multiple security tools. The candidate will produce a variety of executive level finished intelligence products to support decision-making and assist in creating detection and mitigation strategies based on available actor or campaign data.
The ideal candidate for this job will be an experienced information security practitioner who is goal oriented and strives to exceed expectations. The candidate must have experience providing intelligence products for senior management along with the ability to communicate complex ideas to varied audiences. This role may require short-term, non-traditional work hours based on team needs.
Qualifications for consideration
Knowledge of intelligence gathering principles, policies, and procedures including legal authorities and restrictions.
Knowledge of cyber threat intelligence models (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK, Kill Chain, Diamond Model).
Knowledge of network security architecture concepts, including topology, protocols, components, and principles (e.g., application of defense-in-depth).
Knowledge of methodologies and techniques for identifying, prioritizing, and classifying cyber incidents.
Knowledge of malware analysis concepts and methodologies.
Knowledge of system and application security threats and vulnerabilities.
Skills in using security event correlation tools.
Ability to evaluate, analyze, and synthesize large quantities of data (which may be fragmented and contradictory) into high quality, fused targeting/intelligence products.
Ability to utilize multiple intelligence sources across all intelligence disciplines.
7+ years of experience working within a CSIRT, SOC, Intelligence position, or other IT related field tied to networking and enterprise information system environments.
Preferred Qualifications for Considerations
• Industry certifications such as GCTI, GREM, GCFA, GCFE, and GMON.
• Skills in using Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) and Threat Intelligence Platform (TIP) tools.
• Skills in curating threat actor Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) and Techniques, Tactics and Procedures (TTPs)

We are the Cyber Threat Intelligence team. As part of Global Cyber Security Services, we report to the Head of Cyber Security Operations and work closely with numerous teams including CSIRT, Digital Investigations, Content Management Engineering and DLP.
