Job Description.

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer to work closely with Solution Architecture to design solutions, abide by and integrate well with our team’s standard procedures and approaches, and hopefully fit new applications into the existing web platform.

As a Software Development Engineer (.Net Developer), you can look forward to:

  • Collaborating with the team in order to carry out successful executions of products, designs, and architectural roadmaps.
  • Working with the product owner and providing them insight and guidance into the technical facet of the product roadmap.
  • Assisting in establishing coding/software design approaches and standards.
  • Ensuring that the product teams are adhering to standard methodologies.
  • Reviewing process, components, and dependencies with the architectural team to ensure alignment with established technical strategy.
  • Eliminating any pressing technical impediments to the teams.
  • Staying up to date on relevant technological advancements to optimize our product technology stack for strategic growth.
  • Providing inspiration and guidance to the growing team.
  • Championing a culture of openness, collaboration and innovation.
  • Displaying strength in verbal and written communication, with an ability to interact with all levels of an organization.
  • Designing and developing core extensions for an innovative web application framework.
  • Being a team player with a strong ability to contribute to the team’s idea marketplace, especially within the context of discussions on important products.
  • Communicating, encouraging and motivating all levels of staff.
  • Partnering with a litany of engineering teams and other multi-functional stakeholders as necessary.
  • Adhering to tasks as dictated by development frameworks such as Agile Sprints, Delivery Framework, and SDLC.
  • Designing and maintaining large-scale web applications.

Qualifications.

Required qualifications for consideration:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10+ years of software development experience.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in C#, ASP.Net, .Net Core, SQL Server, MVC. JavaScript and HTML Stack.
  • Proficiency in developing multi-tier applications using Microsoft technologies.
  • Exposure to administering & consuming AWS services or those of other cloud platforms.
  • Extensive knowledge of Rest API in API Gateway and API Management, GIT.
  • Experience with performance tuning and database design/query optimization a plus

Preferred Qualifications for consideration:

  • Experience in developing high performance applications using multi-threading and pooling.
  • Experience in web application design and development.
  • Knowledge and experience in building distributed, service oriented, microservice-style and cloud-based application architectures.
  • Knowledge on automation testing, mock frameworks, virtual services, performance testing, and pipeline tools (viz. Jenkins, Concourse).
  • Fundamental knowledge of cloud through any cloud providers including AWS, GCP and Azure.
  • Related banking industry experience in platforms, banking applications, and/or online financial solutions.
