What does a Technical Business Analyst do?

We're looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our technology teams with a mission to build next generation Credit Card Processing solutions. You will be leading technical requirement gathering and definition for all aspects of Card Processing Software. You will be working closely with product managers, client advisors and technology teams in shaping up the features of the software.

Prior experience in VisionPLUS or Fiserv Omaha Card Platform is a huge plus.

As an Technical Business Analyst, you can look forward to:

  • Write specifications for system enhancements in dispute processing. Insight into credit card dispute processing and designing applications to process credit card disputes and working knowledge in implementations of Visa VROL regulations and MasterCard MDR regulations compliant systems is a plus.

  • Develop customized solutions within the platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements, and company goals.

  • Communicate with project managers, clients, business partners, and other developers to design cohesive project requirements and ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing, and deployment. Good writing skills are essential.

  • Maintain a flexible and proactive mindset to changing project requirements and customer objectives.

  • Find innovate ways to meet project goals successfully. Lead the knowledge-sharing sessions where the team shares ideas and new features of the product.

  • Write use cases, user stories, functional specifications, requirement documents for developers. Document workflow for operations teams and translate operational requirements into software requirements.

  • Work with testing teams to validate test scripts and ensure that full testing coverage is in place for any new features built into the software.

  • Develop customized solutions within the platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, client requirements, and company goals.

  • Manage daily support and maintenance and conduct long-term improvement operations to ensure compatibility with evolving business needs.

  • Working knowledge in agile software tools such as  Jira, Confluence is needed. Able to work with diagramming tools such as Visio. Able to work with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software is required.

  • Any past programming experience in Java or working knowledge in SQL is a huge plus.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in applicable field OR Advanced Degree in applicable field with 4 years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst in Credit Card processing application development projects is a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in client facing with small and large banks issuing credit cards
  • 5+ years of experience in dispute processing, settlement, interchange, and authorization targets, translating them to technical requirements for application modifications.
  • 5+ years of experience with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, VISIO, SharePoint, and MS Project.
  • Experience with Visa and MasterCard dispute processing regulations, interpreting fall and spring regulatory guidelines
