Responsibilities
What does an Attorney do within Fiserv?
In this role, you will provide legal support to Fiserv’s Credit Union Solutions and Digital Channels businesses. These businesses offer comprehensive banking platforms and innovative value-added solutions for community, mid-tier and large financial institutions. You are enabling them to offer and manage a wide range of services such as account opening, deposits, withdrawals, loans, customer information management, general ledger, and on-line and mobile banking services.
As a Lawyer within this team, you will be responsible for:
Work with business unit leaders to prepare and negotiate client, vendor and other technology-related and commercial agreements for Fiserv’s Credit Union Solutions and Digital Channels businesses.
Provide counsel and legal advice on regulatory matters, strategic initiatives, intellectual property, dispute resolution, and corporate policies and procedures.
Advise business stakeholders on legal, contractual and risk matters impacting their areas of responsibility.
Effectively interact with corporate specialists about finance, audit, tax, publicity/press, intellectual property (including patent applications), litigation, regulatory, privacy and technology matters that affect the business divisions.
The ideal candidate will:
3 + years of relevant legal counsel experience
Have experience interacting with senior management
Have experience managing client relationships and delivering strong results.
Have knowledge of applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Have familiarity with financial infrastructure, cybersecurity, and data privacy issues.
Be thoughtful, adaptable, practical, and able to focus on details in a fast-paced environment.
Be a strong team player who can work well with cross-functional business colleagues.
Qualifications for consideration:
Hold a JD from an accredited law school.
Be licensed to practice, or ability to become licensed to practice, in appropriate jurisdiction.
Be in good standing with a State Bar with no disciplinary record.
Preferred qualifications for consideration:
Experience at a fintech, law firm or financial services organization.
Demonstrated experience pertaining to banking, payments, lending, and/or other financial services and related consumer protections.
Have an understanding of regulatory impact in partnering with financial institutions.
