What does a great Senior Data Engineer/Analyst do at Fiserv?
This is a junior level position and perfect fit for a new grad or a big data professional with a couple of years of experience that wants to get into security or take their next step in their career. Lots of cutting-edge tools to learn and work with, which will add to your professional tool belt.
Here's what you'll do for us:
You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining big data pipelines and applications to provide the ability to perform analysis and produce actionable knowledge from data originating from billions of credit card transactions throughout the globe. This includes interfacing with internal clients and management on risk and fraud issues and strategies, managing new and existing requirements and fully documenting processes and solutions. This position will require work with several products and technologies, including but not limited to: Hadoop, Apache Spark, Splunk, Analysis and visualization platforms – Palantir, PowerBI, among others.
If you’re the kind of person who can:
Design, develop, and manage large scale data systems and ingestion capabilities and infrastructure
Monitor, maintain and refresh production machine learning models
Identify data sources both internally and externally that can be used to improve insight into activity, implement data exploration technologies accordingly
Analyze data to enable a better understanding of each data source
Create presentation dashboards and implement analytical tools to enhance action of the discoveries
Exhibits strong analytical, technical, and problem solving skills
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting information to groups
Manage time and priorities with multiple tasks and projects.
Work with loosely defined requirements.
Show adapt ability with Big Data frameworks, querying tools and analytics tools in a large scale implementation in an Enterprise environment
Regex/Scripting/programming/NoSQL/SQL knowledge
Perform data modeling and schema design
Qualifications for Consideration:
1+ years experience with Python, Java, C ++, or any other Object Oriented Programming Language
1+ years experience in Big Data
Relevant 4-year Bachelor’s degree or associates degree with minimum 2 years of experience. (Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications For Consideration:
2 + years of experience with Apache Spark and Hadoop
Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux (RHEL preferred) and/or Windows OSes, including infrastructure Engineering and Support
Strong understanding of how technology relates to business, market and industry and applies knowledge to support the needs of critical systems and projects.
Experience with repository management systems (GIT, etc).Experience with enterprise-scale operations and maintenance environments
