What does a great Balancing Analyst/Project Coordinator do?

You will fulfill a critical function as you assist clients and account processors in balancing their general ledger accounts to amounts settled by our Card Services business. We believe a successful coordinator offers guidelines for establishing appropriate general ledger accounts, educates clients regarding transactions and settlement reports for cards and ATM terminals, as well as the use of detailed cardholder reports provided by the account processor. You will also train clients on the reconciliation process and assist them in identifying/correcting items not posted correctly to cardholder accounts.

In this role, you can look forward to these essential responsibilities:

  • Act as primary project contact for clients and internal groups

  • Provide continuous project feedback and status updates to key business partners

  • Assist and educate clients on general ledger settlement and reconciliation practices

  • Coordinate meetings with clients for post conversion training sessions on reconciliation

  • Handle multiple implementation tasks with other internal groups to ensure project completion in accordance with client requirements

  • Create and maintain professional client relationships and handle expectations with respect to live dates and other key timelines

  • Provide occasional after hour support of client implementations

  • Build and maintain consistent standards for project status reporting for internal and external purposes

Basic qualifications for consideration:

  • Minimum 3 years of account reconciliation experience

  • Previous experience working with accounting and general ledger business practices

  • Experience in project coordination or project management

  • Ability to travel (up to 15%) to client sites for onsite training and interaction

Preferred qualifications for consideration:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • Banking and/or financial industry related experience

  • Proficiency with MS Office
