What does a great Client Solutions Consultant do?

You will face exciting sales opportunity challenges as you collaborate with the Sales and Client Executives to understand a client’s credit card processing environment, including business strategy, objectives, pain points and processing requirements.  This business intelligence will enable the Sales Solution Consultant to collaborate with Sales and Client Executives to build and deliver a client-focused presentation.  You will demonstrate specific solutions as needs dictate to further enhance Fiserv’s value proposition.  Your efforts will assist Fiserv to meet sales and revenue goals while ensuring Fiserv can meet or exceed the client’s requirements. 

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Lead client discovery sessions to identify client’s credit card business strategy, objectives, pain points and processing requirements

  • Properly interprets client background information to tailor the credit solution presentation to the client’s specific environment so that it demonstrates the value that Fiserv solutions will bring to the client’s organization

  • Present Card Services solution value to existing clients and prospects, highlighting how our solutions are superior to our competition, where known

  • Ensures the client presentation content reflects the latest solution value and adheres to DSG Consulting standards (future initiative)

  • Build and present LeveragePoint ROI models outlining the economic value of Card Services solutions to existing clients and prospects

  • Provide solution demonstrations to existing clients and prospects

  • Periodically review and offer feedback to RFP responses for specific client opportunities

  • Participate in user groups, trade shows, and conferences as required

  • Strong teamwork and collaboration with Sales Executives, Client Executives and other internal Business Partners within Card Services and with other Fiserv business units

  • Maintain strong payments and financial services industry knowledge levels

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10 + years of payments industry experience

  • Excellent facilitation skills, strong oral and written communication skills

  • Experience interacting with customers at all levels along with appropriate representatives to analyze, validate, specify, verify and document business strategy

  • Ability to handle extremely confidential information in a professional manner and capable of exercising good independent judgement

Travel required:

  • up to 50%

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Client-facing sales experience

  • Strong background and experience with credit card processing and the credit card industry

  • Excellent presentation skills (in-person and remote), ability to own the room with confidence
