Finxact - Data Analytics Developer

What does a successful Data Analytics Developer do?

The Data Analytics Developer works closely with Product and Business teams to refine and implement metrics, dashboards, reports, and analytical offerings to clients. This position reports to our Jacksonville, FL location and will be in-office the majority of days.

What you will do:

  • Convert product and data requirements to technical metric definitions and document into repository.

  • Collaborate with Data Engineering to guide data integration to create data structures and data pipelines to produce metrics.

  • Validate quality of data pipelines and computed metrics.

  • Create data visualizations of metrics in reports and dashboards.

  • Validate data visualizations, dashboards, and client facing reporting data extracts.

  • Tune and optimize reports and dashboards.

  • Maintain library of reports and dashboards.

  • Version Control of data visualization artifacts.

  • Provide input to Product team on new capabilities and potential metrics.

  • Demonstrate reporting/analytics and train business users.

  • Collaborate with technical platform owners and operational teams.

What you will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or combination of education, and equivalent work experience is preferred in the field of computer science, management information systems or Information Technology.

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience in a technical Business Intelligence role.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Deep understanding of Data Analytics/Business Intelligence development processes including BI, ETL/ELT, Big Data, Data Visualization, and relevant technical platforms/technologies.

  • Development of analytical models including standard reporting and trend analysis.

  • Demonstrable SQL skills.

  • Experience developing visualizations with a modern Data Viz tool such as Tableau or Qlik.

  • Experience developing data visualizations against cloud data sources – AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite and reporting tools.

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Git, and DevOps technologies.

What would be nice to have:

  • Experience in an Agile environment preferred.

  • Experience in Banking or Fintech preferred.

  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerized applications preferred.

  • Experience working with Snowflake preferred.

  • Experience with predictive models or AI/ML a plus.
