Fiserv’s Government Solutions is contracted to provide Operational Verification and Validation (OV&V) services to the State of Indiana Division of Family Resources (DFR) which administers state human services programs. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager responsible for the design, development and implementation of review tools to measure and manage all DFR specified vendors' performance, billing, quality and deliverables.  Work is performed on-site, at the client location in Indianapolis.

What does an outstanding Project Manager do?


The Project Manager is responsible for driving complex, high priority, projects or component phases of larger programs. In this role, you will be accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and within scope. You will lead and coordinate functional teams that are responsible for all aspects of the project, from initiation to closure.

You can look forward to:

  • Providing consulting, account management, project management, client satisfaction, people management, strategic planning, vendor management and new business development.

  • Providing executive level client relationship management.

  • Monitoring project status, risks, activity, and resource dependencies, and providing accurate, timely reporting and corrective measures.

  • Managing the project budget, including understanding and validating estimates, cost variance tracking and managing project resources effectively

  • Utilizing established project methodologies to ensure successful delivery of OV&V reviews and implementation of client requests.

  • Providing guidance in development of the review and scheduling and approving all findings while participating in the development of recommendations.

  • Completing deliverables efficiently and on time

  • Tracking development and submission of all project deliverables to meet contractual performance metrics

  • Providing clear and concise project communication, both written and verbal

  • Communicating proactively with all involved personnel to providing encouragement, identifying problems, creating solutions, and implementing efficiency improvements in processes and quality of services

  • Managing vendor and contractor relations  

  • Adhering to PMBOK methodologies, applying project management methodologies, processes, and templates consistently.

In addition to project specific duties and when not deployed to a project, you will also be responsible for supporting the FDGS Center of Excellence & Innovation to help mature the consulting practice and deepen the FDGS presence in targeted markets.  This includes assisting with methodology and practice guide refinement, proposal preparation and consulting training development and delivery.

Required qualifications for consideration:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related technical, health care or government area

  • 5 years progressive management experience

  • 8 years of experience in related Health and Human Services technical, healthcare or government area.

  • Previous experience with QA or Independent Verification and Validation for government projects preferred.

  • Capability and willingness to embrace change and quickly adapt to new situations, shifts in direction and priorities, both from a client and internal perspective.
