What does a successful Firewall Security Engineer do at Fiserv?

As a successful Firewall Security Engineer, you will contribute to the implementation, operations and support of enterprise security solutions in a global multi-datacenter environment.
What you will do:
Primary responsibilities include supporting the operational security function within FTS to develop, maintain and advance the security posture of the company in order to adequately protect Fiserv assets.
As a Palo Alto Firewall Engineer you will be responsible for supporting one of our customer’s Palo Alto Firewall environment. You will oversee daily operations of the firewalls as well as serving as the escalation point for any and all issues.
Maintain and manage border security systems, such as threat protection intrusion detection URL filtering , global protect and support, monitor, and take care of existing configuration changes for Palo Alto Networks and responsible for designing and developing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures
Manage and enhance the effectiveness of current security tools and applications including firewall infrastructure, web content filtering technologies, VPN/network gateway infrastructure, security SSL certificates, application and database firewalls, proxy / content gateway servers and supporting PCI and other internal or external audit processes for the enterprise.
Support the implementation of corporate security policies, programs, and procedures to protect information systems’ assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure or destruction.
What you will need to have:
Must be eligible to get a 6C Clearance/Public Trust
2+ years of Palo Alto firewall experience
4 - 7 years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience and/or military experience
The ideal candidate will have experience and direct knowledge of managing security infrastructure in large complex global multi-datacenter environments
Palo Alto Global Protect Firewall
Setting up and supporting Global Protect VPN
What would be great to have:
Automation skills and be familiar with scripting technology
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Salary Range
$70,600.00 - $122,500.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in Colorado and Washington. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ. Certain Positions are Commissions eligible.
