Finxact, a Fiserv Company is seeking a Support Developer to provide technical support to clients, partners, and team members for the cloud Core-as-a-Service (CaaS) platform. Primary responsibilities include analyzing, triaging, and correcting software application issues for implementing and production clients. Additional responsibilities include:
Working with clients and partners to understand their financial services/banking implementations.
Working with business analysts, engineers, and other system users to understand software application issues and correct them.
Provide quality corrections, improve test coverage, and enhance the overall quality of the systems.
This position offers the opportunity to gain a breadth of knowledge in cloud-based SaaS technologies serving the modern financial services industry.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The type of activities expected to be performed at this level include, but are not limited to:
Correcting software application issues for the CaaS platform using Software Development Lifecycle best practices.
Issue triage utilizing
Data/error research via SQL and REST/JSON
Log analysis using elastic search
Event and HTTP request consumption monitoring
Performing coding corrections, implementing minor enhancements, submitting/reviewing merge requests.
Documenting root cause analysis and explaining technical problems and resolutions in a functional manner.
Adding automated unit tests and regression tests to improve code coverage.
Participating in the Change Management process by assisting in source code branch management and conducting regular merge checks.
Periodic off-hours support with incentives.
Education and Experience Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
2+ years of professional software development programming experience
Languages: Golang, SQL
Design/Patterns: RESTful Services
Banking and/or financial services software industry experience preferred
Experience with supporting production software for live clients
Tools/Utilities: Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, etc.), Git SCM, Postman (JSON), PostgreSQL, Elastic Search (Kibana), Docker, S3, RabbitMQ or other Producer/Consumer queue management experience.
Remote (telecommute) position within the contiguous United States.
Minimal travel (<5%) for occasional team meetings.
