The Business Development Manager will focus on the lead generation, sales management and all lead documentation for sales in our community and region bank sector (Financial Institutions in the $1bn to $10bn assets under management (AUM) size).
In this role, you will be participating in the sales lead process to generate new business opportunities (pre-qualified leads) in support of Finxact, a Fiserv Company sales goals and objectives. This involves:
Creating awareness of our core banking platform capabilities within the banking and partnership sales teams
Pre-qualifies sales leads received through various channels (telephone, website, tradeshows, company events, etc. in conjunction with lead generation best practices including, but not limited to pre-qualification rating, pre-call prep and call guide development.
Generates sales leads through outbound calling in conjunction with lead generation programs.
Leading the opportunity management process, including creating and updating relationship management system entries, reporting and maintenance
Partnering with complementary software vendor partners to develop sales opportunities
Assisting with business development activities by connecting the appropriate sales and solution engineering leadership with the appropriate bank executives
Nurtures long-term opportunities to continue communication in early stages prior to the sales cycle.
Assisting in the alliance planning session preparation, including agenda development, research, materials gathering and consolidation, coordination among alliance leadership, logistics, as well as notes capture and report outs
Collaborates with marketing teams
Proposing ideas for alliance team to connect with clients, including customization of eminence materials and distribution of relevant thought-leadership to key stakeholders
Identifying brand differentiators at the client and create client-specific marketing materials
Supporting the partnership team in collecting and centrally storing relevant client materials (qualifications, proposals, etc.)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The type of activities expected to be performed at this level include, but are not limited to:
Meets with new and existing clients to discuss a company’s products and services.
Works to foster lasting relationships with client base.
Locates opportunities to expand client base and key Go-to-Market Activities. Networks with prospective clients to persuade them to bring their business to the company.
Works to ensure sales and productivity goals are met.
Present information regarding clients and sales at sales meetings.
Devises new and innovative ways to market products and services in the community/regional banking sector.
Attends national sales conferences.
Assists in designing marketing and promotional materials both in print and online.
Conducts independent research into target consumer base.
Education and Experience Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Marketing or Business required
4+ years’ experience in a SaaS organization
Clearly demonstrates a successful sales record
Presents strong and professional sales acumen
Write and communicates effectively to gain engagement
Ability to represent company effectively
Demonstrates detailed knowledge of the company’s products and services.
Possesses knowledge of competitive products and markets in Financial Services.

Up to 30% travel will be required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work may vary but generally Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position may require long hours and weekend work.
