What does a great Senior Business Analyst do?
Analyzes the business needs of Credit Risk clients and stakeholders to help identify business problems, contribute input to business solutions, and manage project implementations. Concentrates and thinks through end-to-end activities that create value for customers, while removing unnecessary non-value added work. Helps the organization improve the way in which it conducts its functions and activities in order to reduce overall costs, provide more efficient use of scarce resources, and better support customers. Consult with the customer on how to best support their area through the effective use of current technology. Liaise between the business side of an enterprise and the IT department or external service providers. Applies analytical skills to client business needs (which are often high-level or lacking in detail) and communicate these business wants/needs in a clear and unambiguous manner. Focuses primarily on Functional Requirements which describe what the system, process, or product/service must do in order to fulfill the business requirement(s).
In this role, you can look forward to:
Being responsible for driving mid-size projects, or component phases of larger programs. Accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and within scope. This individual will lead and coordinate cross-functional, cross-departmental, cross-company teams that are responsible for all aspects of a project, from initiation to closure. The Project Manager exemplifies strong initiative and management skills. Ensures project methodologies, project delivery processes, and implementation management processes are followed. This includes managing and driving the Project Requirements, Schedule, Risk and Issue Management, and Scope Change Management.
Manages the project budget. This includes understanding and validating estimates, cost variance tracking, and managing project resources effectively.
Provides clear and concise project communication; both written and verbal.
Facilitates/manages project communications and stakeholder, client and project team expectations.
Basic qualifications for consideration:
- High school graduate/GED
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and or Microsoft Project Server
- Proven success in delivering projects within budget and specified timeframes, while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Proven problem solving skills from problem assessment to solution selection
- Ability to identify alternatives and make contingency plans
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, providing options and recommendations relating to resolving issues, mitigating risks, and resolving escalated items.
Preferred qualifications for consideration:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 6+ years progressive management experience, including management of major projects, in a large operating environment.
- PMP certification
