As part of our Corporate Communications team, we are seeking a Manager of Communications to support our growing and dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a fast-paced, energetic, global team in the financial tech industry.

Under the direction of the Vice President of EMEA Communications, the Manager of Communications is responsible for supporting strategic planning and driving execution for communications programmes targeting internal and external audiences in the DACH region aligned to EMEA region and global enterprise business strategies in support of Fiserv business units and functions in partnership with business unit leaders, HR business partners and the Corporate Communications team.

The team member we are seeking will be responsible for the following:

  • Craft and develop messaging and materials aligned with the company’s enterprise, EMEA region and DACH region strategies that are clear, concise and compelling.

  • Serve as lead for internal communications strategy and execution targeting associates based in the DACH region.

  • Partner with global PR team and agency resources to support external communication targeting the DACH region.

  • Plan and execute events targeting internal and external stakeholders in the DACH region.

  • Support incident communications targeting the DACH region.

  • Provide strategy and communications execution support for EMEA region business needs, as required.

  • Execute communications campaigns leveraging a broad range of channels, including town halls, webinars, conference calls, social and digital media, video, Intranet and email.

  • Develop communications plans, tools and resources aligned to enterprise-wide initiatives adapted as needed to support EMEA and DACH region needs.

  • Assess stakeholders and their needs, key communication channels, and business culture to create new channels that reach and inform audiences.

  • Measure and report channel effectiveness and refine as needed.

  • Proactively build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts across geographies and disciplines.

  • Evaluate and assess existing communication vehicles; identify and determine most effective and efficient methods to deliver and reinforce strategic messages using insights gained through metrics and surveys.

  • Partner with communications peers in EMEA region, U.S, and globally and cross-functional partners to develop editorial calendars and related content for appropriate communication vehicles.

  • Provide communications advice, counsel and coaching to key stakeholders.

  • Develop effective communications vehicles that drive alignment, increase awareness of the company’s aspiration, purpose, values.

  • Foster connection to Fiserv brand and solutions for internal and external audiences and engage associates as #FISVProud brand ambassadors.

  • Collaborate and build partnerships in a matrixed environment and prioritize and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

  • Execute communications that drive awareness of diversity and inclusion strategies and foster associate engagement in Employee Resource Groups.

  • Execute communications that drive awareness of and foster associate and community engagement with corporate social responsibility programmes.

  • Possess an agile, flexible, adaptable and can-do attitude and client-focused approach.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English and German

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Business or related field.

  • 6+ years of relevant communications experience, preferably with a publicly traded, global technology company

  • Excellent writing and editing skills and strong knowledge of AP style. (Writing samples required.)

  • Polished verbal communicator and presenter

  • Experience developing and executing creative, effective approaches to communication challenges

  • Experience providing communications counsel to business executives

  • Experience in partnering with and overseeing work of agencies to support PR and events

  • Position can be based in Dublin (Ireland) or Nuremberg (Germany) with frequent / regular travel between locations approximately 50%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with and strong working knowledge with various email automation tools and SharePoint administration

  • Professional experience in payments and financial services technology industries

  • Proficient with MS Office 365 tools including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Teams
