What does a great Production Manager Do?
As a Production Manager you will lead operational day to day activities, as well as pivotal initiatives, for the site that is responsible for over 35% of the organization's production. This includes setting priorities for team and managing operational expenses, developing, refining and implementing policies and procedures to optimize personnel and equipment resources. Defining goals and initiatives / develop strategies to achieve those goals across the site team. Identify and successfully manage projects to completion. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the operational site to drive increase efficiency, utilization and cost savings. Ensure maximum processing to meet legal and contractual obligations on customer deliveries and quality. Develop and share standard methodologies across site team and across counterparts in our other operational facilities. We deploy hardware to merchants across the country that make a direct impact on consumers boost our economy!
You’re the kind of person who loves to -
Direct ownership of people management; hiring, performance management and corrective action plans, onboarding and training. Provide development of associates on team including supervisor, operational leads and warehouse operators. Guide, train and develop operational team for career progression and learning while still providing counsel to employees for unwanted behaviors to include documentation of performance. Supervise, direct and monitor operations for site (direct and indirect supervision) of all employees and business associates. Ensure employees are following company workplace safety and work policies. Effectively connect with management about key issues across all functions while adapting the best standards to acquire business continuity. Continuous evaluation of work throughout the process ensuring procedures are followed and work is performed properly.
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
- High school diploma required
- 8+ years’ experience in warehouse or supply chain operations.
- 5+ years previous management experience.
- Site leadership experience including partnering with security, facilities, health and safety, business continuity
- Process improvement background such as: Six Sigma, Project Management Certificates or LEAN
- Basic PC skills and proficiency with MS Office.
Preferred qualifications for consideration:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience with Oracle.
- Experience with Data Analytics.
