What does a phenomenal Sr Accountant do?
A successful Sr Accountant is a self-motivated, collaborative, intellectually curious individual that leans into change, improves processes, and is motivated towards a common goal. You will integrate processes with acquired companies, standardize processes across all of Fiserv, and participate in an ERP integration project.

We are seeking someone who can grasp vital processes and operations of the business, work with a diverse staff, and excel in a dynamic ever evolving environment.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
• Review complex contracts with customers to evaluate and conclude on appropriate revenue recognition
• Attend monthly meetings with Finance and development teams to review potential capitalizable projects and contract costs and / or deferred contract assets and liabilities
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with GAAP, Fiserv accounting policies and procedures are followed when capitalizing software and contract costs and / or deferring contract assets and liabilities
• Maintain SOX internal control procedures and documentation
• Assist with internal and external audits
• Assist in the monthly financial close process through creating and posting journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, and extracting and analyzing data to validate the completeness and accuracy of recorded transactions
• Meet assigned deadlines by using analytical and organizational skills
• Participate and lead process improvement initiatives

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Experience in general ledger accounting and month end close

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
• CPA License (preferred)
• Oracle/SAP or ERP experience is a plus
• Advanced aptitude of Accounting/Bookkeeping
• Expert capabilities with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to analyze and interpret data
• Ability to conceptualize innovative approaches to modernize processes
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple deadlines
• Ability to make decisions and resolve problems using experience and professional judgment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

*Any offers made on 6/1/2022 - 8/31/2022 can qualify for a $5,000 sign on bonus. Candidate must be able to start work by September 2022. Internal employees not eligible.
