Finance Shared Services is a 350-associate function in the Finance organization, securing Fiserv’s cash inflow and safeguarding the cash outflow, ensuring financial integrity and accuracy to support revenue realization and the success of day-to-day operations across the firm.
What does a great Financial Billing Manager do?
The Financial Billing Manager ensures that colleagues and clients receive responsive, diligent, and outstanding support for a wide variety of revenue impacting transactions. You will impact both client satisfaction and help Fiserv achieve results by monitoring, processing, implementing, and recording complex transactions. You will develop product knowledge, company knowledge, and problem-solving skills.
The Financial Billing Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of the Shared Services billing team. This includes month end close processes, controls for invoicing, financial systems trending, and preparing financial and business-related analysis for multiple business divisions, inclusive of full-service credit and output services.
The Financial Billing Manager will manage a team of billing analysts with ownership for gathering of information, validation of data, creation of client billing, and distribution to cross functional internal teams. This role will represent billing in projects for migration, integration, and shared services strategies.
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, management or equivalent field
• 7+ years’ work experience in Finance, IT, Project Management, Consulting or Accounting roles.
• 5+ years management experience, managing a direct or matrix team
• Billing or Order to cash experience using SAP, Oracle, or other ERP system
Preferred Qualifications for Consideration:
• Train, provide guidance and review the work performed by the billing analysts to ensure revenue transactions are processed timely and accurately in accordance with policies.
• Acumen for Facilitation and Problem Solving within the shared services matrix
• Experience with annual audit and quarterly reviews
• Experience working closely with internal departments to understand and address business problems and issues
• Experience with quantitative analysis, qualitative business judgement, and build strong relationships with key decision makers and peers across the business units.
• Strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to focus on details, synthesize information into actionable tasks, spot issues quickly, and develop recommendations for solutions.
