JOB PURPOSE:

Seeking a driven, career focused finance professional to join the Bank Solutions Finance team as a Finance Manager for the Premier segment.  This individual will be expected to quickly learn the $625M Premier business including understanding the primary drivers of financial results and to use this knowledge to drive meaningful financial analysis to improve leadership decision making.  This manager will work closely with both the Finance and Premier leadership teams to help drive strategy and business decisions critical to the creation of profitable business growth and margin improvement.    

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Capable of developing meaningful relationships with key leaders, including the general manager, client partner managers and finance peers, founded on the principles of trust, balance and partnership
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with ability to get into details and synthesize broad amounts of information into actionable information for executives.   Confident and capable of offering well-thought out business recommendations by providing actionable insights to identify opportunities to grow revenue and profit through data mining, analytics, and automation
  • Excellent finance and accounting skills with knowledge of key current and emerging issues impacting strategic transactions and decisions
  • Capable of providing guidance to and assisting multiple resources in a collaborative, results-focused environment
  • Expected to focus on backlog acceleration by enhancing current dashboard reporting, partnering with PS leadership to drive project optimization and collaborating with the Premier management team
  • Coordinate and manage Premier financial reporting and analysis including appropriate variance analysis, evaluation of metrics and commentary for internal review and action. Reporting and analysis includes the month end close, Risks & Opportunities, periodic forecasts, quarterly financial workbooks, periodic business reviews, , annual operating plan, budget and other adhoc deliverables
  • Manage the planning and forecasting processes for Premier in a manner that engages management and finance partnership in a truly collaborative well-planned effort that drives ownership and accountability across all areas

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Intellect and business judgment - This individual will demonstrate well-reasoned insights on financial and strategic issues/decisions. Exhibit the intellect and sound business judgment to make decisions in the best interest of Fiserv and the business
  • Business partnering and relationship building - Serve as a credible, effective representative of the business to internal leadership, clients and vendors. Director must be persuasive, exhibiting an ability to communicate with passion, energy and excitement for the business
  • Interpersonal acumen – The successful candidate will possess unquestionable personal and professional ethics and a sense of flexibility and initiative that are essential to the success of this role
  • Strong organization skills – Ability to facilitate and coordinate multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment while responding quickly to management requests

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or Economics
  • MBA Preferred, but not required
  • 5+ years of experience
