Come join a dynamic Corporate Tax team responsible for all aspects of Fiserv’s domestic and international taxes. The Corporate Tax team reports up through the CFO’s organization and is viewed as a value-added, trusted business advisor throughout the organization.
What does a successful Sr. Manager Domestic Tax Planning do at Fiserv?
The Domestic Tax Planning Senior Manager will report up through the Vice President of Domestic Tax Planning and be located in the Milwaukee area. This position will be a key player in identifying, implementing and defending tax planning initiatives. This will require interaction and alignment with various groups across the enterprise.
What you will do:
Assist in development and implementation of state tax planning initiatives including any domestic transfer pricing strategies, legal entity rationalization, acquisition strategies, etc., to drive shareholder value.
Support technical tax research, calculation, and documentation efforts related to state and federal income tax matters
Support U.S. tax due diligence efforts with respect to potential mergers and acquisitions as well as post-acquisition planning and integration efforts.
Manage and coordinate state & federal tax audits including responses, audit strategies and coordination with state and local auditors.
Prepare/review state tax components of quarterly and annual SEC reporting, including tax rate analysis and preparation of appropriate SOX documentation.
Assist in development and implementation of Tax Department automation to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Assist in integration efforts between tax planning, tax reporting, finance, legal, HR, and tax compliance teams to ensure that planning initiatives are properly execution and risks are mitigated and positions and transactions are appropriately accounted for and reflected in tax returns and ASC 740.
Lead and support other projects as assigned.
What you will need to have:
7+ years of experience with strong technical and applied knowledge base of US federal and state tax laws
Experience with acquisitions and divestitures and demonstrated understanding of complex domestic and international structures
What would be great to have:
Experience with managing federal and state audits
Big 4 Public Accounting experience or Fortune 500 multi-national company experience & CPA; Financial and/or technology industry experience
