What does a successful Team Lead, AML Compliance do?
The Team Lead, AML Compliance is a professional within Fiserv’s Financial Crimes Compliance Team. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of the current regulatory landscape and compliance requirements prescribed by the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and other applicable Anti-Money Laundering (AML) laws and statutes as they relate to non-depository financial institutions.
What you will do:
You will oversee a diverse team of AML analysts who are responsible for conducting investigations of potentially suspicious activity, conducting the on-boarding of high-risk clients, and completing the required periodic client reviews.
In this role, you will drive decisions on next courses of action including, when warranted, reviewing suspicious activity reports (SARs) and/or currency transaction reports (CTRs) prior to submission.
you will respond to law enforcement and other regulatory requests, manage applicable components of AML program audits, and help maintain current AML program documentation.
Additionally, you will effectively supervises the activity of others and demonstrates strong leadership by providing clear and constructive feedback and maintaining a goal-oriented and energetic team environment.
What you need to have:
5 +years of experience involving financial crimes investigations within a Fintech, money services business, or financial institution
2 +years of experience working in an AML team lead capacity
Ability to manage and prioritize several tasks simultaneously and autonomously
Ability to manage a diverse staff and promote an energetic and motivating workplace culture
Subject matter expertise in the areas of anti-money laundering, transaction surveillance, financial crime investigations, and OFAC sanctions
Consistent approach to research and analytics, and the ability to thoroughly and concisely articulate conclusions reached
Working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines (e.g., BSA, OFAC, NACHA, Payment Network rules and regulations)
Knowledge of Customer Due Diligence (CDD)/Know Your Customer (KYC) activities, experience with the preparation of comprehensive case investigations
Ability to handle privileged and confidential information
Experience writing and preparing SARs and other regulatory reports
CAMS, CFE, CRCM or equivalent
Bachelor’s Degree
Ability to travel up to 10%

Clear, concise communication style (written and verbal); demonstrates engaged listening skills; able to maintain composure in a fast-paced, highly structured, time-sensitive environment
Proven organizational and time management skills resulting in ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
Experience with financial crimes compliance systems, technologies and processes, especially AML transaction monitoring typologies and rules
