EMEA Pricing Analyst

We are building a new centralised pricing team to support the Merchant Pricing function in EMEA.  This will be an exciting time to join our growing team as we embark on new technology solutions to manage our business and its scheme fee and pricing aspects. A new transaction cost engine is being delivered this year and will set a new era in Pricing. 

Merchant Pricing is dependent on scheme fees and interchange costs.  Experience in this area is desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Development and maintenance of a high degree of familiarity with merchant pricing, card scheme fees and interchange.
  • Development and maintenance of accurate pricing models and charge-on models for scheme fees.
  • Cost and fee recovery reporting, analysis and reconciliation of cost data.
  • Identification of opportunities to reduce or recover costs.
  • Subject Matter Expertise to support our business, internally and externally.
  • Co-Management of new technology initiatives for Pricing solutions.
  • Competitiveness monitoring of product pricing propositions and trends in the market to offer the best solutions for our clients and their success in the market.
  • Ability to work in new areas or processes of the business to effect change or efficiency savings.

Attributes:

  • Part or qualified accountant.
  • Experience in a pricing or business analyst related role.
  • Experience in Merchant Acquiring (preferred).
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex data models, basic VB, advanced formulas and data transformation).
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high capacity for numerical and analytical thinking and functioning.
  • Ability to work under pressure with shifting priorities in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proven track record of identifying business improvement opportunities.
  • Proven skills in organising, effective problem solving and decision making.
  • Ability to build relationships across senior managers and peers.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Hands-on experience in managing the underlying cost components of merchant pricing decisions is a plus.
