Responsibilities
Business Analyst
Mission:
The Business Solutions Organisation are responsible for the engagement, analysis, requirements and solution design for the migration of credit/debit/loan/prepaid portfolios from bank or third party systems onto the Fiserv SaaS Account Processing solution. The traditional methodology follows a very structured waterfall delivery with a set of well-defined stage gates and rigorous governance. The Business Solutions BA will support a client through the full journey from project initiation through to post implementation.
In order to remain competitive in the market and meet our clients growing expectation, it is our aim to develop the team into a much more iterative and Agile way of working. The first goal is to transform the engagement, scope and detailed analysis phases that are managed almost entirely by this team to become a series of Sprints with clearly defined goals and outcomes. This will involve all the implementation and adoption of Agile principles, techniques and ways of working.
The goal is for each new client analysis phase to be run with a more efficient and effective delivery plan, that is re-usable but constantly being reviewed for improvements or refinements.
The individual:
You’ll be a dynamic team player who will join an existing team of platform expert Business Analysts and help us achieve the end goal as outlined above. Ideally, Scrum certified with experience of running Agile Analysis phases, you should be comfortable organising and running PI planning sessions, sprint plans, daily stand-ups and retrospectives. Experience of managing a large requirements backlog and have successfully broken it down into defined sprints.
It would be nice if you have also worn the hat of a Product Owner previously and have liaised with various development teams.
Skills - You will have a wide array of experience in using banking technologies relating to Payments; this could be within card payments, issuing, merchant/acquiring, liquidities, investments, high/low value, SEPA, ISO, BACS or CHAPS.
You will have been involved in large-scale SaaS transformation programmes and you’ll be an Agile enthusiast who has worked in Scrum teams and liaised with Product Owners.
Teams / Leadership – experience of organising PI Planning Sessions, Running Scrum Teams, Requirements Backlog management, Agile appropriate ceremonies and process expertise.
Collaborative – You have the type of personality that compliments working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels; with an ability to lead and implement change in a challenging environment where saying ‘yes’ to everything isn’t an option.
