General Position Description

Fiserv a leading global provider of information management and electronic commerce systems for the financial services industry provides integrated technology and services that create value and results for our clients. 

As a FiservSenior SoftwareQuality AssuranceAnalyst, you will perform vital testing of our software products on a variety of platforms to ensure compliance with functional requirements in our customers' technology environments. You will be responsible for development and execution of automation test plans, developing test software Integration and validation of software products to ensure compliance with functional requirements. You will also be responsible for the performance testing of individual components of the software, as well as verifying performance behavior of integrated systems.

Under general supervision and adhering to established procedures for quality assurance, test and analyze software components to ensure usability and applicability to the business environment and customer during the software development life cycle including post-implementation/deployment phase.

Essential Functions/Job Duties

  • Define overall automation and performance strategy and execute per plan with defined deliverables

  • Review, define and implement tools per automation & performance strategy

  • Provide technical oversight, tools strategy/usage/adoption, ensuring technical quality of the solution

  • Develop frameworks, processes and tools that are leveraged or used by others

  • Plan, develop, execute, and automate tests for software releases

  • Work closely with the QA/development team to create comprehensive test procedures

  • Interfaces regularly with Product Design and Development teams to present findings/ideas for improvement in the product or testing methodology

  • Verify adherence to documented standards 

  • Perform unit, integration, performance, and functional tests

  • Debug, conduct root cause analysis, diagnosedefectsand provide detailed input to development

  • Participate in the project requirements definition,designand architecture

  • Set-up, configure and help maintain system test environments for functional, automation and performancetesting

  • Maintain documentation of all test results 

  • Assist the development team to oversee problematic areas, underestimated risks,scopesand bottlenecks

  • Participate in code reviews

  • Articulates value, ROI of automation and performance to clientsMonitor and analyze various system and application aspects

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent preferred 

  • 5+ years extensive experience developing code for automated test tools in a non-record/playback environment 

  • Proficient in writing and executing Performance tests, preferably in Visual Studio Team System

  • Technical skills desired/ Tools experience: TFS / Test Manager, NUnit or any xUnit Testing Framework, Developer Tools (C#, Visual Studio 2005- 2019), MS Servers (SQL server), .NET Framework (4.5+), MS Operating Systems, MS Office Suite, VMware, Experience in a multi-tier architecture 

  • Azure cloud experience is a strong plus

  • Strong experience with Version Control Systems (TFS, GIT)

  • Strong experience with SQL queries to facilitate testing and troubleshooting efforts

  • Experience delivering products using scrum/agile methodologies

  • High energy, self-motivated, with a collaborative, team-playing attitude

  • High attention to detail, with a commitment to producing high-quality products

  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills –oral and written

  • Development background a plus 

  • Must have excellent troubleshooting skills 

  • Must have the ability to create a test plan, develop procedures and execute tests with minimal supervision 

  • Must be able to implement improvements into test processes and practices 

  • Ability to build and execute automated regression test scripts required
