What does a great Director of Program Management do?
The Director of Program Management will build positive relationships and engagement across multiple levels within an organization to provide the successful delivery of business results tied to the most sophisticated projects and programs for multiple business unit portfolios. You may have direct or indirect budget management based on program, project, or release activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
•Management of annual portfolio of projects. Design and develop improvement opportunities to gain efficiencies of product management, deliverables, reporting and training to mature capabilities in service and delivery.
•Align team with Account Processing Solutions Project Management standards, processes, and templates. Collaboration with designated Business Units on PM intake prioritization, options and staffing decisions.
•Responsible for the optimization of talent, measurable goals and accountabilities, driving actionable development plans in alignment with desired proficiencies, and acquiring talent through competency-based hiring practices.
•You will be leading critical issues when business results are at risk. Collaborate with teams across division and corporate functions to ensure client expectations are met and division goals achieved.
Basic Qualifications For Consideration:
Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field preferred or 8+ years of equivalent work experience
•8+ years leading large-scale delivery of programs and projects which includes development and integration as well as leading professionals within a distributed team environment
•Experience with application development projects utilizing a software development life cycle and multiple methodologies
•A leader with shown project and program management discipline, that is well organized, and able to drive engagement across organizational boundaries. Able to think and act strategically and tactically within a technical discipline and from a broad business perspective
•Ability to build and read financial models and understand the variables that can improve or accelerate results
Preferred Qualifications For Consideration:
•Strong leadership skills and experience in building positive relationships, strategic partnerships with external and internal key stakeholders/customers.
•Excellent social skills with shown ability to lead sophisticated matrix teams across geographic and business unit boundaries.
•Excellent negotiation, conflict, and discernment skills to balance Fiserv and Client goals.
•Financial industry / Banking industry experience is a plus
Travel required: Domestic travel as needed, up to 25% of the time
