What does a great Director, Business Development do?
Join a team focused on transforming retail payments through innovative point of sale financing solutions. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about helping consumers and merchants thrive through technology. As a key member of the Global Business Solutions Lending team, you will have an opportunity to drive our ambitious direct to merchant growth strategy for POS installment products.
As a Director, Business Development, POS Lending, you can look forward to:
Leveraging partnerships with leading fintechs and FIs to offer BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later)/Installments solutions that merchants can offer to their consumers
Collaborating with Product, Marketing & Channel Sales teams, to create and execute on a comprehensive sales strategy to sign merchants and drive significant installments volume
Developing vertical, segment and channel specific strategies to drive merchant acquisitions and loan volume
Collaboratively setting and interlocking on short and long-term sales targets and driving accountability
Developing channel specific sales strategies, and leading pipeline reviews with sales team and key strategic partners
Using domain knowledge and experience to help close key deals and influence the product strategy to meet and exceed client needs
Constantly monitoring and leveraging relevant consumer and industry research and data to insure we are delivering innovative and differentiated products and services to our merchants and their consumers
You’re the kind of person who:
Has outstanding influencing skills and the ability to drive results in a highly complex and matrixed environment. You have an entrepreneurial and strategic mindset with a passion and track record for building and transforming a business / product, driving change and “rolling up sleeves” when needed. You have a passion for helping consumers and merchants prosper by offering innovative payment solutions.
Basic qualifications for consideration:
Minimum 6 years of business development, sales, or partner management experience
Minimum 4 years of experience in retail credit and/or payments
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required
Travel required: up to 40% travel
Preferred qualifications for consideration:
POS Lending / BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) experience is a plus

The Merchant Joint Ventures and Acquirer Processing business brings to bear the transformative combination of Fiserv and First Data to deliver extraordinary value to merchant customers.
